The atlas covers prehistory and Stone Age Cultures, Indus Civilization, Vedic Age, Age of Buddha, Mauryan India and Gupta Age. As well as it has separate maps for ecomonic, political and culture aspects of India for the periods 200 BC-AD300; AD300-AD500; and AD500-AD750. The book has a preface and an exhaustive index comprising the coordinates of each historical place marked within the maps.
